Cotton picking is a core operation of BMC Partnership, with over 30 years of contracting experience in the Gwydir Valley. Our extensive background in the cotton industry has established BMC as a leader and innovator in both irrigated and dryland cotton harvesting.

BMC operates a modern fleet of five John Deere CP770s and two CP690s, all modified to suit a range of wide dryland configurations, including:

• 6 heads – 1.5 m spacing (9 m total width)

• 6 heads – single skip (10 m total width)

• 6 heads – double skip (12 m total width)

Our combination of experience, innovation, and purpose-built machinery ensures efficient, high-quality harvesting across all field conditions.

BMC has been providing cotton stripping services for over 10 years, developing a range of techniques and processes to deliver the cleanest, most efficient results for our clients.

Our fleet includes five John Deere CS690 cotton strippers, supported by a wide selection of front configurations to suit various crop layouts and conditions, including:

• 8-head – 1.5 m spacing

• 8-head – single skip

• 6-head – double skip

• 6-head – 2 m spacing

and other custom configurations upon request.

With extensive experience and adaptable equipment, BMC ensures every field is stripped cleanly, efficiently, and with minimal crop loss.

BMC operates two 12-metre cotton mulchers, purpose-built for efficient cotton and sorghum residue management. Our mulchers are designed to deliver a consistent, high-quality finish, improving field conditions and preparing paddocks for the next crop cycle.

BMC operates a fleet of six trucks dedicated to cotton transport, equipped with a range of trailer configurations to suit different haulage needs.

For long-haul operations, we use double-stacked trailers capable of carrying up to 18 round bales per trip, maximising efficiency and reducing transport costs. For shorter hauls or on-farm movements, we operate self-loading round bale trailers that can carry seven bales per trip and do not require a loader for unloading, providing flexibility and convenience for smaller jobs.
